Anis is the founder of Reussir le GMAT.
He is a GMAT Quant expert and an admission consultant with more than ten years of experience.
Throughout his career, he helped more than 2500+ students to ace the GMAT and get admitted to their target business school.
Anis holds a Master’s degree in engineering and a Ph.D. from one of the most prestigious French Grandes Ecoles.
He is a Quant expert who got the highest score on the quantitative part of the GMAT (Q51).

Why do 75% of people fail to score above 605 points?
If you take a look at the statistics, you will notice that 89% of people do not manage to score above 645 points on the GMAT, and about 75% of people do not manage to score above 605 points. This is quite normal because the majority of candidates prepare for the GMAT using traditional methods such as studying from classic books or attending group classes.
Classic books are far from sufficient
Classic books are a good resource for preparing for the GMAT because they contain old GMAT questions. The problem is that these books are necessary but far from sufficient to succeed on the GMAT. I say this because dozens of people contact us every year and admit that even after going through the classic books three times, they still couldn’t achieve their desired score.
To succeed on the GMAT, you need to master strategies that help you know what to do and how to do it for each test question—strategies that enable you to solve any question quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, this type of strategy is absent from classic books.
In conclusion, if you want to familiarize yourself with the test, the official GMAT books are good. However, if you want to succeed on the GMAT, these books are not sufficient.
GMAT group classes are not effective
When you’re in a class with 5 or 10 people, you never feel very comfortable asking all your questions. We often fear judgment from other students or that our questions might seem a bit ‘silly.’ Plus, there’s always that guy next to us who asks 10 questions per hour and wastes our time, or that girl who knows all the answers to every question in less than 47 seconds and demoralizes us.
In a group class, students often don’t have the same level, age, or background, which makes the teacher’s job difficult. If the teacher goes slowly, the more advanced students get bored, and if the teacher goes quickly, the average students won’t understand anything.
In conclusion, group classes are profitable only for the owners of prep institutes because they generate more revenue. But for students, it’s the worst method to truly succeed on the GMAT.
